Far out west in Queensland, in the outback town of Longreach, there’s an amazing emporium of treasures that’s based on the traditional outback stores that sold everything.
Inside the wonderful old 1920s building you can wander from room to room, discovering thousands of outback products from robust leatherware and saddlery to heritage-style homewares and crafts. There are books, toys, clothing and culinary delights as well as a great range of souvenirs and Outback Pioneers merchandise.
The store, owned by the Kinnon family, is an experience in itself. Here online there is just a small selection of the huge range of products. They make wonderful gifts to capture outback pioneering spirit and the story of Australia – or just treat yourself to something that celebrates our heritage.
